Our volume calculator is designed to help you figure out the quantity of bags or loose product required for your garden project.
To calculate this, you’ll need the following information:
The length and width of your garden bed or space, or the diameter if working with a circular area.
The depth at which you plan to apply the product.
The type of product you’d like to use.
Trailer Load Conversion to Cubic Metres:
• 1 trailer load = 0.7 cubic metres
• 1.5 trailer loads = 1 cubic metre
• 3 trailer loads = 2 cubic metres
• 4.5 trailer loads = 3 cubic metres
Please note, all garden products such as compost, garden mixes, and lawn soils will compress after being spread and watered. We suggest factoring in a 5-10% compaction rate when placing your order.
For those calculating based on bags: 1 cubic metre = 1000 litres
